The Society for the School of Medical Technology (SSMT) was established in 1992, and its paramedical college — the School of Medical Technology — began in January 1995. It is a premier paramedical institution in West Bengal, recognised as a standalone institution under the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

What is the eligibility for the paramedical diploma courses?
Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology preferred) from a recognised board, and be at least 17 years old as on 1 July. There is no upper age limit.

Obtain the prescribed form from the college office on payment of ₹500/- in cash. Fill, attach documents and submit before the deadline.
Medium & Attendance
English is the medium of instruction. A minimum of 75% attendance (theory + practical separately) is required to sit for examinations.
Certification
All certificates are awarded by the University of Kalyani to successful candidates upon completion of the diploma programme.
